Topic: New software, New art
For the longest time, I used photoshop to sketch out stuff, then illustrator for inking. Heck, half the time I'd just upload the sketch and call it good since the whole process took so long.
I've had an eye on clip studio for a while, but never committed to learning it. More recently, I've been watching Halcy0n's streams.
Watching her work (in clip studio) inspired me to pick it up again, and I'm so glad I did.
The brush tools are so buttery smooth and the vector layers and vector erase tools are phenomenal. I'm currently only using it to ink stuff, but my workflow is already significantly faster.
This was my first attempt with the software:
And here are some that I've done since then:
This is a remake of one of my first fortes sketch:
This is a bit of fan art for Borusen. I have different iterations of it here.
Since I can ink so quickly now (relatively speaking), I have been spending time coloring stuff. I'm quite happy with the results.
I've already made a few new images (aside from these^) in this funky fresh style and will continue to post at least one a week.
