I think shoutboxes have a pretty big chance of going dead quickly, after the novelty wears off. There might not be enough traffic here for one?
Also, what do you see people using it for? (there already are discord/telegram groups for live TF chat too)

Oh, there are? I know of some groups on F-List/Chat. Good to know that there are more on different pages.
It'd be nice to bounce ideas that aren't worthy of making a new thread or post about. Also, it can be a good place to do impromptu RP with anyone who happens to be online.
How far back do chat messages last in a shoutbox?
I say we experiment with it. If it doesn't take off and no one uses it, we can simply get rid of it. That is, if it's not too much trouble.
