Hunters,
Little is known about this group of shadowy mercenaries other than the fact that they will eliminate nearly anyone...if the price is right.
Silent, precise and deadly, they take on jobs that involve eliminating selected targets without a trace, usually hose untouchable by regular channels.
Each Hunter has his own unique tools, special trademarks that mark their individuality. Yet all have one thing in common: their Carapace armors.
These suits of living flesh enhance a Hunter's abilities, giving them a second protective skin resembling in many ways he exoskeleton of insets. Still alive, these suits can alter their shape to some degree, allowing the wearer to form weapons, ammunition, and tools form parts of the suit. The most dangerous feature, however, is the Carapace's ability to produce transformative and paralyzing toxins within special sacks embedded on the back, channeling them to any of the syringe-like spikes and needles that can be grown or retracted by the wearer's will.
It is unknown where or how these Carapaces are made, but most believe it to be the warping of especially cruel targets, or the first target assigned to trainees after their training.
Whatever the truth, only one thing is clear: if you are marked by a Hunter, you can never escape your fate.
