Greetings people!

First, I would like to say that my attention fell through on commissions for this month. My bad, I had an inquiry with someone and I may have been a little too slow responding. I'll look for another 20 chapter commission next month.

I love getting numbers about things and I finally stumbled across a statistics sections for interactive fiction on writing.com. It required an upgraded membership to use and it hooked me. I'm not sure it's worth it, but I now have the ability to create groups and such on writing.com. I'm curious if anyone would be interested in an adult transformation group on the site. I'm not sure it'll be worth my while, but I'm considering the idea.

As to statistics, I'll lay some of them out for anyone that might be interested.

First is Changing the world has had 11,201 view since it went up and has 450 chapters now. I've personally written 323 of those chapters. Granted I've put in some pretty long chains of branching choices, but I'm still pleased with that, even though my writing comes rather sporadically. There's been some really awesome additions by the others contributors, so I'm pretty happy about that too.

I've deleted in the ballpark of five additions to the story. They were very short, very poorly written, almost nonsensical additions by accounts with a history of nothing but similar additions to other interactive fictions stories.  I believe all the contributors to the story itself, aside from the junk accounts mentioned, are all members of this forum. So a big thanks to everyone here for that.

In the last 31 days, there's been 1000 views. Typically the story sees 20 through 30 views a day. Occasionally, it reaches 50 through 70 on certain days. I'm guessing those are typically when chapters have been added to the story. I'm actually pretty pleased with that. I think that might be better than I would see if I had created a sub-branch in one of the other interactive story sites, maybe excepting CHYOO.com. The rather constant views per day makes me feel putting the story there was a good choice.

Unique Viewers with accounts is broken down between 419. Although this does not break down to repeat viewings by any of those members, I do have some gender breakdown information. 281 of those accounts are listed as Male, 31 as female, and 107 unknown. I doubt too many people who looked at the story didn't have some interest in the pornographic transformation nature of the story, given the title and capsule description information on the story.

The final bit of interest to me is a breakdown of referring URL's. Out of a list of 498 links listed, my story see's most of it's views, 367, from Writing.com itself. 35 are listed as being from Legends of Belial here and 96 unlisted. Some probably from the story I posted at Futanari Palace.

I have a high points reward for contributions at Writing.com, but as I said, most contributors are from here. The points rewards doesn't seem to garner much in the way of other contributors. Honestly, there isn't a ton of value in those points, either. I doubt anything below 10,000 points a chapter would garner much incentive from people not already interested in contributing. In fact, I have seen high values offered for reviews on various works.

I have considered posting GP rewards for reviews, but I have no idea what the reviews might be like. I'm not sure positive reviews would help garner any readers and negative reviews would probably dissuade some potential new readers. Of course, one does not have any idea if reviews from others would be positive or negative even though offering points probably creates an unfair bias for good reviews.

Anyways, I hope some of you find this information and my thoughts on it interesting or worth considering.
