Topic: New Website - Need Advice

The site is down again and its time for me to take a more active role in maintaining it.

I've been far too idle about it, so I want to set it up anew properly.
It will still probably be an easy to create format, like Wordpress.

However, I need advice for a good server to put it up. Wordpress allows for adult material but not pornographic one.
So rather than taking the risk of it being taken down it might be worth putting the site on a server that straight up allows for porn.

Someone have complained and gotten it shut down? That's annoying. I find it amazing that there are countless websites showing porn legally, while fictional stories and erotic art are removed.
The Drugs Drugs Drugs stories contained some incest, but considering the context, I don't consider it to be a problem myself.

Still, not to complain, but the new website used some time do download each page compared to the website before that. Maybe because of a different system.

When i searched for a (cheap) hoster to host this site, i gave up after a while. The only thing i found were cloud hosters (amazon, microsoft etc...). This site runs on a VM on amazon, but it's definitely much more work to setup and maintain (and i'm not 100% sure if this site is violating some of their terms, well i have backups in case it does big_smile)

I did not notice this topic as I had not explore the Legends of Belial f3.to/ website for very long.
Did you mean the f3.to/demon-man was invalid again, and all the novel texts, image works and the other webpages on that site suffered data lost again?
The site had been updating for a long time. Although there were a few parts that was still under constructed, most of the webpages were great, especially the novels and images. Were there backup for the whole website that could help you rebuilt it when you found a server you could afford?

I was a member of the zetaboard old forum.
I do not know why I could not register at the no-ip forum before, only it was possible now.

I run f3.to and the main issue is that Demon-Man stopped answering my emails. If someone stops updating the site AND stops talking to me, I assume they're not around anymore and archive the site.

f3.to/old/demon-man/ still has all the stories and so on but DM never bothered to set up wordpress after I installed it for him, so, I didn't know what to do...

If possible, I hope Demon-Man replied to this topic, told us what happened for this event and what did he/she planed to do for that (such as what would he going to do about your wordpress)?

Sorry for the late reaction.

There was problems in communications with Spiritplumber. I do not know if emails disappeared into the void or ended up in the spam folder but I never received them. Either way, I do not blame him for taking the site down if it proved to be a security risk.

I'd like to set up the website again, better and more secure. However, I have to face reality. This year has been pretty rough so far and most of my time is spent on real life issues, leaving me very little time just for myself. Thus, managing and mantaining a website is just not possible. To be honest, I already struggled with the previous site.

As such I am currently happy enough just using the forum and my FurAffinity gallery, for the time being. I am nearly done sorting out the story-archive I mentioned a while ago and will upload it soon in form of a zip-file or similar format.

Thank you for answering. The reality problem were always the most important and worst one. Event if you didn't need to paid for a paid web space for building the new site, there were still the time problem.

When there were no spare time, you just could keep valid backup for all the raw data you had already got, that you could go on with everything when you had spare time. Things always works the same unhappy way.
