Re: Problems & recommendations for the new forum
Can you change the default hyperlink color to purple? It's currently white and blends in with normal text.

Done, but i'm not sure if it's too dark.
It's okay as it is, but actually now that I think about it, it might be better if it matched the blue of the (default) NewMidnight theme.
done!
no problem. this way i'm learning css
Spammers are becoming more and more frequent.
hmm, any idea how to get rid of them?
Our registration process has zero means of stopping bots from registering. We need to implement CAPTCHA or something along those lines.
okay
i will implement that as soon as i have time
The sooner, the better. It's averaging 1/day now.
Okay, that's it. I will implement something today...
being a longtime lurker from this site and the previous one I am going to have to say that I really hate it when forums get bot spammed. It takes away the fun and true essence of a forum. that being said I am a really big fan of a lot of the work that you all have produced for our enjoyment/pleasure. Keep up the awesome work
i will implement a captcha system in a couple of hours. until then, flicker and i will try to delete the messages as they come.
I've implemented a recaptcha-verification on registration. It just affects new users so maybe we already have a bunch of spambots that will post something in the next days. but at least no new ones can register.
it doesn't help at all... the recaptcha-thing is nearly completly useless :-(
Were the deleted spammers registered after it was implemented?
at least one of them...
